Since it was launched in the mid 90's, Heroes of Might of Magic, spin-off of the original Might and Magic games, became one of the reference sagas in what regards to turn-based strategy games, managing to reach the first position for fantasy games of this genre. A few years have gone by and many things have changed, but Might and Magic Heroes 6 wants to prove that it still maintains the place occupied by its predecessors.
Something old and something new
Despite the fact that the concept, the skills and the spells have stayed the same over the years, Might and Magic Heroes 6presents some rather clear changes if it's compared to its direct predecessor, Heroes V.
The amount of factions has been reduced to five (Haven, Sanctuary, Inferno, Necropolis and Stronghold), even though there are still six different kinds of creatures. Another thing that has changed, is that there are now only five heroes (the five direct descendants of Duke Slava), and depending on which hero you choose the story will change.

As well as the possibility to play the five different campaigns, Might and Magic Heroes 6will also allow the player to face each other over online scenarios, an element that many users had missed in this saga up until now.

Priest
Career Path: Initiate -> Healer -> Priest
Skills: The priest class are experts at Light and Spirit spells. They use such spells as Heal, Resurrection and Purify to their maximum potential, and are adept at some forms of attack magic as well. They can also train repair item up to grandmaster, and both learning and armor to master. For weapons, they can master both the cudgel and the bow. Don't forget to get them some skill in meditation - healing takes a lot of power to cast continually, so the extra spell points matter!
Uses: The priest is both a passable fighter and a good healer. To use them to their fullest you should heal when you have to and attack with your cudgels when you don't. This will save you some spell power for when you really need it. Against powerful opponents you might choose to have them cast Poison Cloud or Chain Lightning to help for an easy victory, choosing to heal at the end of the battle. A priest is better than a druid in my opinion. You might find yourself able to make your way through the game without one, but this task is an onerous one full of sleep breaks. I recommend having at least one healing-type in your party at all times though.
Druid
Career Path:
Skills: The druid is not a standard spell casting class. They are also experts in unarmed combat (unarmed and dodge). They can also bring armor up to master level. As for their spell-casting abilities, they can cast both grandmaster spirit and master elemental spells. They get a nice selection of spells, but don't excel at anything (there seems to be no GM spirit spell in the game). As for non-weapon skills, they can get grandmaster status in body building, and master in learning, meditation, disarm trap and identify item.
Uses: It might not seem like it at first, but at really high levels (like over 20) both the dodge and unarmed skills get to be really powerful. Thus, at high levels, druids can substitute for tanks, as long as they don't wear any armor at all. At low levels they should always wear armor - at least until the benefits of dodging catch up with even the basic armor bonuses. I would suggest not using a druid unless you are an experienced player. They tend to be very weak at the start and only gain in power later in the game. But if you feel so inclined, a druid can replace a priest easily, even if they never can learn Divine Intervention.
Might And Magic IX: Writ Of Fate / ABSOLUTE PERFECTION
If you love RPG games with a STORYLINE, Might and Magic 9 is for you. The graphics are not the best, but with a MASSIVE world with a linear storyline and TONS of side quests to fulfill at your choice, this game is mind blowing. This is the LAST Might and Magic game to be released and was one of my favorites. Might And Magic IX: Writ Of Fate will keep you playing till the end. DO NOT pass this game up! Reason this series did so well is because of the low end requirements for use of play from OLDER systems and the game series was awesome.Truth be told, Might and Magic 9 will take you at least 6 months to a year to finish because of the size of the game and the massive amounts of character stats. If you like micro management as well as RPG elements then the Might And Magic series is definitely for you!STUCK getting to Aslegard? Ask me HOW to get there. You will be amazed at how this must be done, but I will not give away this info unless you are royally stuck. Think carefully about this situation - if your army was wiped out, what do you think you should do to your party? ;) Also, it is not as easy to do this as it sounds. Think HIGH and jump for a quick solution!PS: There are also THREE patches for the game; one by New World and two by computer players. The two patches are called TELP and you'll ned them both along with installation of the original patch. Install them in order for the game to run properly.
